Join us in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us ensure Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve's future as an environmental education resource for our community!

The Hanover Rhinos believe in giving back to our surrounding area communities. This is one way we can help Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve to continue their quest to provide environmental education field trips to kids and educate others about nature. Please join us at the Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle on November 12th. Just a small donation will go a long way to helping us meet our goal for Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve.

Twisted Turkey Supports Environmental Education

Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle is a fun, family-oriented community event. We bring together runners and walkers of all ages, a challenging set of 5k, 10k, and 15k trail run courses, musicians, great children's games, awesome prizes and so much more. It is always a blast! But Twisted Turkey is about a lot more than race day itself.

Our race supports Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve, a resource that has been part of the community for more than 30 years. Strawberry Hill is open to the public every day, free of charge. Our visitors have a wide variety of motivations: experiencing nature, physical fitness, artistic inspiration, getting away from it all...and Strawberry Hill provides something for everyone.

The Preserve also provides environmental education field trips to more than 6,000 school children each year. School budgets are tight, and we do everything we can to keep these experiences affordable for all students. That means that we subsidize more than $10 of the cost of each child's field trip out of our own resources, asking schools and families to provide only $6 per child. For 6,000 students, that means we are subsidizing $60,000 each year to make sure that our local children are able to have hands-on environmental education experiences.

Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve receives no direct support from federal, state, or local governments. Our resources come from memberships, grants, program income, and critical fundraisers like Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle. We need the help of enthusiastic fundraisers and generous donors to keep up this important work.

We are asking a few of our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work. By becoming a fundraiser for Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve, you will help more students in Adams County & beyond, and you'll help your friends feel good about doing good.

Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll even give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. With your help we can ensure Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve's future as an environmental education resource for our community.
