"UNLESS"… The Lorax said nothing.

The Lorax said nothing. Just gave me a glance...just gave me a very sad, sad backward glance... as he lifted himself by the seat of his pants.
And I'll never forget the grim look on his face when he heisted himself and took leave of this place, through a hole in the smog, without leaving a trace.
And all that the Lorax left here in this mess was a small pile of rocks, with one word... "UNLESS."
Whatever that meant, well, I just couldn't guess…

After eight years working at Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve…

I can guess!

During my time at the Preserve, I have witnessed Strawberry Hill be a shining example of what a caring community can do to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of a unique ecological landscape.

Strawberry Hill serves two important functions in the community ~ protect the watershed and provide environmental education!

The Preserve has provided place for thousands of children annually, including my children, to interact and engage with the natural world. I have watched the community's children learn about the environment and become inspired to be that someone who "cares a whole awful lot."

And, because of all of those who have "cared" for Strawberry Hill over the last 3o-years, Swamp Creek and Middle Creek have just received a classification of "Exceptional Value Streams." Our streams are now receiving the highest protection the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania provides.

However, balancing nature and our human needs for sustainability is challenging; and "UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, [our ability to have places like Strawberry Hill] is not going to get better. It's not."

UNLESS we can garner your backing, we will not be able to continue to fulfill our mission.

So how can you help to keep us from slacking?

Strawberry Board, Staff, and Volunteers are looking to raise $50,000 by December 1, 2016 to help fund the Preserve's operations.

Please help by donating to Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve's annual giving campaign, today!

You can use the donate link provided above to contribute,.. and maybe all the community may come back for years to come.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve.
